Uncovering Where Your Clothes Come From #FashionRevolution
Guest Post By: Andrea Plell
Four years ago, the fashion industry experienced the worst disaster in our history. Rana Plaza, a seven-story garment factory in Bangladesh collapsed killing 1,134 people and injuring 2,500 more. This devastating occurrence illustrates the fact that hundreds of fast fashion brands have no idea where their clothing is coming from — and neither do we.
To demand transparency and shine some light on how our clothes are sourced, produced and sold, Fashion Revolution — a global grassroots movement– was born. Fashion Revolution asks one question: “Who Made My Clothes?”
