SF Opera Summer

Experience excellent artistry, three beautiful productions and emotional experiences that only opera can provide. Perhaps you want to hear the Habanera and Toreador song from Carmen that you know from so many movies, television shows and advertisements and witness the doomed love triangle between a gypsy, a corporal and a bullfighter.  Or maybe you want to be lucky enough to hear the young, in-demand countertenor Aryeh Nussbaum Cohen sing Handel arias in SF Ballet’s “…two united in a single soul…” in Orlando.  For those interested in a romantic fairy tale, the gorgeous Rusalka might be more your speed.

The newly commissioned body of work departs from narratives related to the former Filipino dictator, Ferdinand Marcos, and his infamously extravagant wife, Imelda.
