Quarantined? Coronafied? Yeah, we feel ya. In fact, artists are the self-proclaimed masters of social distancing, so maybe you need some helpful advice. We gotchoo. Your solution for going stir crazy is literally at your fingertips! Visualize this: A world where people exchange valuable dollars for handmade items from artists and craftsman! What a concept! Now, imagine being home enough to enjoy the art while artists are supported in continuing to create the work. We’ve got a winning combo!

The Situation
The art community is taking a hit. An absolute onslaught of art show, convention, and event cancellations, due to the COVID-19 crisis, have created an economic upheaval. These events are crucial for the way talented, passionate artists make their living, and there is a tremendous need for support in the artist community right now.

The Plan
We’re bringing the art directly to you! We are pooling talent from all over the globe, and on April 1st, 2020, we’ll post the artwork on www.covidcreativeconvention.com for you to browse through and purchase directly from the artists. And, on a daily basis, we will release artwork on our Facebook invite (coming soon). You can help by sharing our links and spreading the word, just remember to keep a six foot distance.

This site and social media are run by a group of artist volunteers from the Drawing From Experience Creative Community on Facebook. We do not claim any liability for sales directly from artists and will not run sales through our site. We will connect you directly with the artists who made the item(s).

Questions? Contact us: covidcreativeconvention@gmail.com

Artist? Vendor? Do you make handmade creative items and have been affected by the COVID-19 crisis?
SUBMIT YOUR WORK BELOW!

CALL FOR ENTRY:

Eligibility: If you are an artist, crafter, craftsman, sculptor or anyone in the creative field (with handmade items to sell in a convention setting) who has had an art show, convention or event cancelled, this is for you! Regardless of medium, genre or location, we want you to be a part of it!

You are invited to submit to the Covid Creative Convention, an online-only convention event that we’ll be promoting through our website and through our Facebook invite. Our goal is to connect potential collectors directly with you. Our intention is to help support our communities, while simultaneously exposing new potential collectors to your work. It’s free to submit work, free to join, and you’ll handle your own sales, directly. We want to pool talent from across the globe, and give collectors one place to find what they’re looking for.

The submissions will be released on our website on April 1st. We will also be posting our vendor’s items daily, for the entire month of April on our Facebook event invite! So make sure you click “Attending” or “Interested” when you see the invite!

This is being organized by a group of volunteer artists from The Drawing From Experience Creative Community

Submissions are due by March 29th, 2020 at 11:59 p.m.
