FREE World Cup Broadcast at AT&T Park

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

In case the excitement of the NBA Finals isn’t enough for you, World Cup Fever has arrived! To kick off the madness, this Saturday AT&T Park and Visa are hosting a free public viewing of the USA vs. England game! The sweet soccer action will be shown live on the centerfield scoreboard as well as TVs throughout the park. The outrageously overprice concessions will be open, but the FREEness of the rest of the day might allow you to splurge on an $8 beer and a hot dog.

I am going to be all over that shit for the following reasons:
1. I like sporting events. Give me a stadium, alcohol, delicious carbs, and a sport I mildly care about and I’m good to go!
2. I’m pretty sure it’s a rule that Soccer players are required to be attractive.
3. The Giants County Fair will be happening just outside the park, and who doesn’t like a good carnival?
4. After consuming said alcohol there is a fair chance of me adopting a british accent and insisting that everyone call soccer “Football” while sporting an onion ring monocle.

Hope to see you there ole chap! Jolly good!

Ali was born and raised in the Wholesome/Creepy capital of the world, Salt Lake City, UT. Once she was old enough to blow that pop stand she escaped to the place that was the anti-SLC: The Peoples Gay-public of Drugifornia aka San Francisco (holla 30 Rock!). You can now find her throughout this glorious city slurping Pho and scheming with her best friend Pinky doing what they do every night; try and take over the world.
