Celebrate Spring this weekend with a new Irish festival in Marin. Hosted by the same team behind Dickens Faire, Céilí on the Lake promises a lively celebration on April 27th and 28th at Lagoon Park in San Rafael, located within the Marin County Fairgrounds. Should be a fun weekend of music and dancing with 4 stages, food and even classes with two two open sessions of Irish dancing each day so you can join in on the fun.

Healy School of Irish Dance – catch them at Ceili on the Lake on April 27 and 28 at Lagoon Park, Marin County Fairgrounds.

What to Expect at Marin’s New Irish Festival: Céilí on the Lake

  • An Irish Pub!

  • Sheep herding demonstrations? I’m sure this will be fun with a beer in-hand

    and more!

In true, Red Barn Production fashion, they’ve created one of their iconic maps of the event which showcase some of the fun ahead this weekend. As someone with a Dad who plays traditional irish music, I’m looking forward to seeing some live music on one of the stages. But check out all of the adorable Irish festivities ahead like the outdoor pub and the massive May Pole in the center of the event.

A Small Bit of Marin History makes This Event Even More Exciting:

For me, it’s seeing Red Barn Productions come back to Marin with a new concept. For those of you who know some Marin history. The Reneissance Festival was at Blackpoint Forest Renaissance Pleasure Faire site in Novato, California for many many years. Some of us remember it fondly as one of the best renn Raires ever created. Knowing this lore + also knowing how well-produced Dickens is makes me extra excited to see this production company create another special event. Rumor has it, they hope to expand their events beyond this new one & Dickens which is also exciting to hear!
