Why Healthcare Professionals Who Test Positive For COVID-19 Can Continue To Work In California
In all my years of writing, I’ve never written about something fucking dumber than this. Healthcare workers, you know, the people who look after your health? Well, according to new rules passed by the State of California, these workers can literally have COVID and their employer can be fully aware of the fact that they have fucking COVID and they can still return to work as long as they’re asymptomatic.
This shit is fucking bananas.

Is the state going to announce the only requirement needed to return to work is a pulse? How the fuck can the State of California pretend to give a fuck about anyone when they’re willing to put both healthcare workings and patients at stake?
Well, you know what could be a preventative measure against a surge? Stop making people go to work who are sick with COVID, you fucking dipshits.
So who’s standing against such stupid fucking policy decision? The unions, of course!
“I had to read it again, because I thought, this can’t be happening, when we’re anticipating a surge. We have to have more stringent protections,not less stringent protections,” said Sand Reding, the president of the California Nurses Association in an interview with ABC.

We disregarded what the CDC told us initially and when we did lockdown, we tried to create a ton of loopholes to pretend everything was normal. We’re now in 2022, the pandemic started in early 2020. The United States has the highest amount of COVID-19 cases and deaths in the entire world. America has to be first. Well, except for education and healthcare. We’re fine being fucking terrible at that.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, there have been 59,000,000 documented (which means people that were sick and tested positive, that doesn’t count all the people who ever found out) cases of COVID-19 and 833,000 deaths. At this rate the United States of America will be the only country in the world to reach one million COVID deaths. There are countries like India with far bigger populations, who dealt with severe surges during the summer, and still the United States, a much wealthier nation with a smaller fucking population, has 200k more deaths. Fucking embarrassing.
Healthcare in the United States is a business.
Why is it like this? Is it because we’re fucking stupid?
Short answer: Yes.
Long answer: Healthcare in the United States is a business. This is not a guaranteed government service. It is absolutely a fucking business. Sick people aren’t patients. They’re just dying customers. The people who own these hospitals know that they’re about to get a heap of new customers and even if their employees are sick, they need to be there to deal with the crowd. And if a doctor or nurse is sick and passes it on to someone else, they don’t care because they never did. It’s a business. The bottom line is the only life worth saving to them. Also, if the doctors make people sick that’s technically more business. I doubt they’re worried. It’s not like CEOs spend time around normal people anyway.
The point of this article is to tell you to protest this, because not only is it wrong, it dangerous and fucking stupid.
