Ok so you moved to New York from ________ and back there you really didn’t know a lot of Jewish people.  Sure you went to that Rubinstein kid’s bar mitzvah in 7th grade, but other than him and a couple Chinese kids, your home town was as WASPy as it gets.  Now you’re in NY dating a Jew, you’re about to meet his/her parents for the first time and you wanna make a good impression.  That’s where Russ & Daughter’s comes in.  Open since 1914 and having been run by four generations of the Russ Family, this is as old school New York Jew as it gets.  Here’s a tip from a fucking Jew (me) to someone who’s fucking a Jew (you); buy your possible future in-laws some of R&D’s famous bagels and get some lox, herring, and cream cheese (tofu cream cheese if they’re vegan) to go along with them.  As long as you don’t say, 'œI hear this is what you people eat,' you should be golden.
