Benefit for Hurricane Ondoy Victims TONIGHT at Little Skillet!
I know it’s pricey, but if you’ve been unable to make it over to Farmerbrown’s take-out outpost, Little Skillet, you’re seriously missing out. One of the few places in the Bay Area that actually serves chicken and waffles the right way, this place has been creating quite the ruckus in the food scene. And now, they’ve opened their hearts in a big way.
Tonight will be their first street food cart benefit — all proceeds will do to Hurricane Ondoy victims in the Philippines, who are about to get hit again with a typhoon after an insane earthquake. Many of the food cart items will be afforable and cheap, and all of the community is reaching out across the Pacific to help people who may not properly get back on their feet for months. Do your black heart some good and head down to the Dogpatch for a delicious bite to eat.
Little Skillet will be extending the fundraiser through the weekend with 15% of the proceeds benefiting the victims; all of the proceeds from tonight’s event will be donated. The restaurant is also accepting clothes, blankets and other relief items.
