FREE Improv Every Friday at The Alcove Theater

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

Alright, so we need a location. “The Alcove Theater,” great The Alcove Theater. Ok now we need a day of the week, “Friday!” yes, Friday Thank You.  We need an activity, “How about FREE improv and stop asking us all these questions.”

If you’ve never been to an improv show you are uncultured swine and catching a few episodes of “Who’s Line is it Anyway?” on ABC family doesn’t count.  Lucky for you the good folks at EndGames Improv are here to rectify this disservice.  Every Friday these skilled improvisers are putting on a FREE show at the Alcove Theater in Union Square.  The show starts at 10:30 but you’re probably going to need to get there early since the place will most certainly reach capacity.

The current show “Your F!#@ed up Relationship” focuses on cracking wise and creating a completely improvised play based on awful relationship stories that come out of the audience. Honestly I can’t think of a better way to get some quiet revenge on a psycho-ex than to have professional actors mock your former sweetheart on stage in front of an adoring audience.

Cap off a Friday night out in Union Square by rolling on over to The Alcove Theater and get some yucks basking in the comfort that we all have awful had an awful relationship or two.

For more information and a list of additional shows check out EndGames Improv.

F!#&ing Free Fridays presents Your F!#&ed up Relationship Fridays at 10:30 PM, FREE! The Alcove Theater 414 Mason, 5th Floor [Union Square]

Hugh was born in Boston, but managed to escape to the Bay Area before acquiring that ridiculous accent. Growing up in Marin, Hugh joined the throngs of suburbanites that dream of being rock stars and movie gods only to end up in a well appointed cubicle. Now Hugh lives in San Francisco and casually ignores his environmental studies degree, choosing to write comedy and eat burritos instead.
