Scrolling through the endless array of images on Instagram was one of my favorite past times several years ago. Things have morphed into a world of 7-second videos that are much too easily to consume in one-hour mindless increments. However, still imagery is irreplaceable. It is a moment in time captured – still, but somehow feels alive.

The collection of still images from 2022 are both a year in review and a fun way to feature an artist you should probably know:

Mid-year in 2022, the team at Broke-Ass Stuart started working with a talented photographer and artist, Vita Hewitt. She often comes along for feature article adventures. As I was thinking about more ways to wrap up this year in a neat little bow, I thought it would be fun to compile some of these photos and see the collection of articles that comes from it.

While these stories highlighted may have not ended up into the “most read” category of our site for 2022, they are a fun way to see just a small slice of the fun we have in The Bay Area.

Here are the stories Vita covered with us this year:

To Learn more about Vita Hewitt:

Vita’s talents only came to us mid-year but she captured so many Broke-Ass Stuart adventures. While these articles may not all have fallen into the “most read” category of our site for 2022, they show how different people enjoy themselves, express themselves and how The Bay has a little bit of everything. I’m personally looking forward to what adventures are ahead in 2023.
