Capital One Cafes Doing Free Money Coaching to Help Change Your Relationship with Money

I imagine these people are better with money than I am

I don’t have the best relationship with money. I’ve never been great with budgeting and saving it, so it pretty much ebbs and flows into and out of my bank account. I mean, I always pay my bills and I always pay the people who work for me, but when I’ve got extra loot I’m like, “Alright people! Who wants a drink?!” and then shortly afterwards I no longer have any money.

I imagine there are a lot of you reading this who know exactly what I’m talking about. This is why Capital One has reimagined the way they do things; they want to empower people to feel confident about their relationship with money.

To do that they’re redesigning the banking experience to make it simple, straightforward, and something that makes sense for peoples’ lives.

I know right now you’re like, “But come on Stuart, you’re getting paid to say this shit,” which is totally true. But they’ve got this new thing they’re calling Money Coaching that I’m actually excited about. It’s a free service they’re offering at the Capital One Cafés that’s meant to “connect your values to your money, get your money under control, plan a path for your future financial goals, and the confidence to make it happen.” For me, I wanna figure out better ways to budget my money so I’m able to donate more to causes I believe in like the ACLU, Planned Parenthood, The Coalition on Homelessness, The Housing Rights Committee, and way more. That’s one of my financial goals (well that and being able to afford to have a marching band follow me down the street playing thematic walking music…duh).

The cafés offer a ton of other free amenities that are perfect for broke-asses like you. Capital One customers and non-customers alike can use their free meeting rooms or study nooks as well as the free wi-fi. They can also learn new digital tools through Capital One’s interactive Demo Bar and challenge their financial knowledge through Interactive Screens that provide educational money content. I don’t know what the hell these last two things are, but I’m excited to find out!

The Capital One Banking Remained Tour is coming to you. It’s probably driven by a guy named Hank.

To get people excited about this new banking experience Capital One is hitting the road with the Banking Reimagined Tour – a hands-on digital experience to spark new ideas about money and help find strategies for the financial road ahead. It’s a ten city tour designed to give people more confidence in their relationship with their money, you could think of it as financial empowerment on wheels.

The centerpiece of the Tour is a state-of-the-art 54-foot trailer housing a smart, personal digital experience that recognizes participants at every stage. The experience includes things like cutting-edge Augmented Reality technology that lets people interact with 3D holographic imagery in real space and time, bringing their financial goals to life, and a Video Selfie Booths where participants can record a message for their future selves with the knowledge they’ve gained from the experience.
