Tonight’s GLIDE Social Justice Film Fest Offers Solidarity, Inspiration

Bored of scrolling through Netflix and Hulu? Love a good documentary but sick of falling into the depressing true crime rabbit hole? Well look no further, because as usual, The GLIDE Foundation has something much better in store!

Tonight, The GLIDE Legacy Committee will present A Social Justice Film Festival, a virtual selection of films which will encourage, inflame, and inspire. The program includes four short-form documentaries (Apo W. Bazidi’s How Far is Home;  Honora Talbot’s Vote Neil; Samantha Knowles’ Tangled Roots; and Mohammad Gorjestani’s Sister Hearts) touching on subjects ranging from the refugee experience to the political and legal fight over Black hair.

The entire event is virtual, so you can participate from the comfort of your own home. The program of films will run from 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm, and a Q&A session with the filmmakers will take place from 8:30 pm – 9:00 pm.
