Kat Robichaud’s New Shows are Helping Keep SF Weird
Local legend Kat Robichaud always has something in the works, so what is it this time? Turns out there’s two events on the horizon you won’t want to miss. San Francisco’s favorite holiday is around the corner, and it’s never too early to start making plans. Misfit Cabaret‘s Halloween show, BITE plays October 7-22 at The Alcazar Theater and is their 5th original Halloween show.
It’s a sexy vampire rock and roll variety show with, of course, lots of pop culture references. As always, audience costumes are encouraged. If Buffy the Vampire Slayer, What We Do in the Shadows and vampire camp are your thing, I think it’s safe to say you’ll enjoy what she’s cooking up. That’s because they will be doing homages to Buffy, Dracula, What We Do In the Shadows, Kate Bush and many more of your spooky favorites.
But that’s not all! Misfit Cabaret is now fiscally sponsored by The Lost Church (which means donations to them are tax deductible), and they are celebrating their 7th anniversary with an intimate show for the true fans.
Kat Robichaud and The Darling Misfits will be performing all the original songs she’s written over the past 7 years for Misfit Cabaret. Special alumni guest performers will abound as well as a raffle, silent auction, and photo booth.
And if you’ve never been to a Misfit Cabaret or heard The Darling Misfits, now is as good a time as ever to start. It’s no secret that the performing arts have suffered over the last two years. With venues closing left and right and performers struggling to continue practicing their art form, your support of local live performance means everything!
