Get Free Admission to the Museum of the City of New York
Until the internetz blesses us with a new spewy episode of Drunk History, it looks like we gotta take some learnin’ matters into our own hands. Fortunately The Museum of the City of New York is not only a pretty awesome way to do this anytime, but right now they’re offering up free admission to anyone who “likes” them on Facebook and proves it by showing so to the ticketing desk on their smartphone.
This actually ain’t so bad because every week they use Facebook to post a super cool mystery image from NYC past or present, and I mean seriously, who doesn’t love a mystery! They also post updates about their awesome ongoing programs–including topics like The Apollo Theater legacy and the role of street vendors in NYC–which are free with admission (aka twice as free for you).
You can check out their rotating spectacular of NYC history exhibits HERE, but no matter what don’t skip the 22-minute multimedia film on the Big Apple’s storied history tracing our city from its New Amsterdam days to the 8 million-person bulge it is today.
