Over the weekend I took part in a panel discussion at the Instock Self Publishing Conference.  If you remember, I actually write books too.  The discussion was about branding yourself, which as you can tell by now, might be the only thing I’m good at in life.  Below are a few clips of some of my demented insights about the world of self publishing.

I recently took on a PR group because I eventually wanna do a Broke-Ass Stuart TV show (how cool would that be?) and somebody said this would be a step in the right direction.  They’re called Industry 415 and since I came to the conference unprepared (as usual) Lucciano (publicist) improvised and recorded the clips on a regular point and click digital camera.  Sorry for the quality, it’s my fault for not giving Lucciano the heads up.

Stuart Schuffman, aka Broke-Ass Stuart, is a travel writer, poet, TV host, activist, and general shit-stirrer. His website BrokeAssStuart.com is one of the most influential arts & culture sites in the San Francisco Bay Area and his freelance writing has been featured in Lonely Planet, Conde Nast Traveler, The Bold Italic, Geek.com and too many other outlets to remember. His weekly column, Broke-Ass City, appears every other Thursday in the San Francisco Examiner. Stuart’s writing has been translated into four languages. In 2011 Stuart created and hosted the travel show Young, Broke, and Beautiful on IFC and in 2015 he ran for Mayor of San Francisco and got nearly 20k votes.
