Waterfalls and Wings
I’m currently sitting in rural upstate New York with lots of time on my hands and an internet connection. Therefore I thought it would be a good idea to update this here website with all my recent happening. To begin with, Broke-Ass Stuart’s Guide to Living Cheaply in New York is just about done! Seriously. how awesome is that? We’re just putting the finishing touches on it and it should be to press next week. For fuck’s sake I’m glad to be done with that book. I honestly believe that it’s better than the San Francisco book and it’s almost twice as big. Hells yeah!
As for what I’m doing up here in rural upstate NY, my lady is from up here and she’s in a wedding, so we’re spending a week up here with her family. Good times! Look, we even went to Niagara Falls:
And then afterwards we went to the Anchor Bar in Buffalo, NY to pay homage. This is the place that invented the blessed Buffalo Wing. Without exaggerating, they really do make some of the most perfect wings I’ve ever had. Nice and crispy and not overloaded with sauce. Just look how much I dig those little fuckers:
Yes, yes. It’s a good life that I lead. Plus I’ve even managed to have a Garbage Plate since I’ve been here, a MUST for anyone who’s in the Rochester area. The spot that I frequent the most is Jimmy Z’s (www.myspace.com/gottagetyourzs) in Brockport, NY. It’s fucking delicious and Jimmy is super cool…wait, do you even know what a Garbage Plate is? Well I’ll tell you. The base is your choice of home fries or french fries, with a helping mac salad. Then on top of that you choose whether you want cheeseburgers, white hots, red hots, chicken breast, sausage or whatever else you wish to consume. Then your meat stuffis is toped with meat sauce and Frank’s Red Hot Sauce, and whalah! you have the best drunk food ever (even though I often eat it sober). I know it may sound gross but it tastes amazing! Just look at this photo:
How could that not be delicious? And you know what the best part is? It only costs $6.
