FREE Covers by Beck and Friends!
The first time I saw Beck, he finished the set by thrashing around on a bed with leopard print sheets that lowered from the ceiling. Then he and some people wore hazmat suits and covered the stage with caution tape. Another time, my sister, my friend, and I screamed like teeny boppers when he was literally just breathing into a distortion unit while sitting on the stage. Beck is one of those musicians who’s always doing something amazing, like giving you stickers to design your own artwork for his album cover. His most recent project is the Beck Record Club. He and his friends get together and record a classic rock album in a day, without any practice. And Beck’s friends are people like Devendra Banhart, MGMT, and Wolfmother. So far, they’ve recorded The Velvet Underground and Nico and some songs from Leonard Cohen’s Suzanne. You can listen to the songs for FREE on his Web site. The trackes don’t seem to be downloaded, but they’ll make for an awesome break when Pandora starts to play weird deviations of your original request.
