FREE Wizard of Oz Screening and Concert in Central Park
Take a minute to sing “One of these thing is not like the others” (or watch Cookie Monster sing it) while you try to figure out which of these things that just doesn’t belong: John Cleese, The Grapes of Wrath, Hewlett Packard, The Wizard of Oz, the La Guardia Airport and Tina Turner…In case you weren’t tipped off by the picture of Dorothy and Scarecrow, the answer is The Wizard of Oz. The reason: none of the others are being shown in Central Park for FREE tomorrow night to celebrate their 70th anniversaries. Before the screening, ?uestlove from the Roots, Jennifer Hudson and Juliane Hough are performing songs from the Wizard of Oz. If you’re more of the watching the Wizard of Oz with Dark Side of the Moon playing, you can celebrate by watching the movie for FREE on Netflix on October 3. But the flying monkeys and ruby slippers won’t be nearly as large on your computer as they will be at the park.
