Craft Beers Galore at Williamsburg Cask Beer Festival this Weekend

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

For most of the beer-drinking population, how a beer is brewed becomes less and less important the more of it they drink. For others, a poorly-brewed beer is, to put it simply, a buzz kill. If beers are like babies, then the cask is the womb – and if cask conditions aren’t up to snuff, then the beer won’t be up to quaff.

Luckily, the fifteen cask-conditioned beers at this year’s Williamsburg Cask Beer Festival are entirely up to snuff. Sponsored by d.b.a and Alex Hall’s Gotham Imbiber, the event highlights “unfiltered, unpasteurized beer from only traditional ingredients” which clearly makes it perfect for anyone who knows what any of that means.

The festival runs all weekend at d.b.a, starting at 1PM this afternoon and running until “late” Sunday evening. Entry is free, and the brews themselves will range in price – though it’s key to note that all prices will be “reasonable.” No kiddies allowed.
