Make a Movie With James Franco!
Okay, guys. Truth be told, I don’t really want to share this with you. Why? Well, I’m about to talk about a drawing. A drawing I really, really want to win. And statistically, the less people that enter the drawing, the better my odds are of winning.
All right, I know that’s not true. And since every penny raised from this drawing goes to support the FREE student programming at one of the coolest spots in San Francisco, 826 Valencia, I’m totally for EVERYONE doling out some cash for their shot.
Shot at what, you ask? For a mere $25, my friends (or $100 for five tickets, if you’re feeling not-so-broke-ass), you can enter to win an opportunity to collaborate on a short film with James Franco, the most awesome, talented, and utterly fantasy-inducing actor I’ve ever laid eyes on (meaning followed fanatically in Freaks and Geeks — RIP). Well, tortured high-schooler Daniel Desario has grown up to become a writer and director too, and if your name is chosen, you lucky jerk, Daniel (aka Mr. Franco) will direct a short starring YOU. I just got goosebumps.
The deadline to buy tickets is Friday, May 21 at noon, so get on your horse and buy some here (be sure to mention in the comments section that you’re entering the James Franco drawing) or at the pirate store at 826 Valencia St. (btwn 19th & 20th). A winner will be chosen on Monday, May 24 — WOO!
And hey, even if your name is not the lucky one drawn, your donation is still totally tax-deductible. I don’t know about you, but I need all the deductions I can get. Times is hard.
I love you, James.
