Skate In The New Year At CellSpace!
Before I begin my persuasive post convincing you to go to the following New Year’s Eve bash, I have to be honest and admit the following: In no way do I believe that mixing alcohol with roller skates and disco attire can end well.
That said, CellSpace is hosting a New Year’s Eve edition of their infamous Roller Disco and that sounds really fun. I mean, you know your night’s going to be a total shitshow anyway, whether you stay in and drink a whole box of Franzia Chillable Red or go out and wait two hours to get into some club, so might as well add a challenge in the form of wheels into the mix. Cover is $10 (buy advance tix here or just pay at the door), and while that’s more than FREE, it’s less than the $100 my friends are burning to stay in one spot all night and spend the majority of their time in line for the open bar.
Disco attire is always encouraged at the Roller Disco, but as I’ve firmly stated before, I’m done with costumes for the year and will be rocking a totally inappropriate sequined dress that makes even my eyes burn to look at. Oh, also, if you’ve never been roller skating somewhere that alcohol is sold, a fun game is to see how fast you can complete a lap around the rink without touching any of the many people passed out on the floor. Great way to say hello to 2011 if you ask me.
