Drink Your Little Heart Out With SF Weekly
I was recently dragged to a ritzy bar by a couple of my friends. I obliged, but only because it was someone’s birthday, and you CAN’T say no on birthdays. Anyway, even with pre-partying, I ended up spending waaaay too much on liquor because apparently SOME bars don’t sell vodka sodas for three bucks a pop like I’m used to. I’m more into the all-you-can-drink, bottomless mimosa-type deal, and I’m not the only one!
Tomorrow, our friends at SF Weekly are hosting DRINK, their first annual spirits, beer, wine and cocktail tasting event at The Fairmont Hotel. In between savoring the appetizers and listening to the live entertainment, you’ll be sampling over 3o types of products, including pisco, liqueurs, beer, and probably anything else you can think of. And don’t worry — OF COURSE you get one of those adorable souvenir tasting glasses!
This event is normally $50, but luckily the Weekly understands our broke-ass-ness and is offering a $20 discount here with the promo code BROKEASS. To recap, that’s $30 for two hours of all-you-can-drink cocktails and liquor tasting — and remember, this is the GOOD stuff, not your Trader Joe’s Vodka of the Gods.
By the way, in the usual charitable SF Weekly style, they’re partnering with the Barbary Coast Conservancy of the American Cocktail and the United States Bartender’s Guild, so your money will go toward more drinking-related stuff. And that’s DUH, WINNING!
