FREE Whiskey Lesson at Elixir Tonight
You know how you are always saying you’ve been wanting to sign up for some sort of class? Let’s face it – whether it be a French, a cooking or a sewing class, you always seem to flake. Maybe it turns out the class is too time consuming, or maybe it’s just too expensive. Well, now is your chance to take a FREE class in something that could be extremely useful to your everyday life.
The Elixir, one of the oldest bars in the Mission, has come up with a way to keep their patrons in the know. They have decided to introduce new cocktails at their weekly “cocktail club” which offers a free educational guided tasting. This way people can learn about all the spirits that go into making Elixir cocktails. The drink of the week will then be on special for just $6 all week until the tasting the following Thursday.
Tonight, January 12th, Elixir features a tasting hosted by High West Whiskey from 7 – 9 p.m. Distiller Adam Opalek will be there to lead the tasting and share his vast knowledge on this all-American Rocky Mountain blend, which is surprisingly made in Utah! Hmmm – maybe High West Whiskey is actually made by polygamous Mormon wives that are aiming to get their “sister-wives” drunk and pass out, so that they can have more time with their husband. You never know, right? Let’s be sure to ask him about that…
