Undercover at Walmart: A Conversation About The American Way of Eating

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

Do you ever wonder what happens behind the curtain before you actually enjoy the food you purchase? The Center for Urban Education about Sustainable Agriculture, or CUESA, will be serving as host to an interesting discussion on what happens behind the scenes of the corporate food system.

Tracie McMillan, author of The American Way of Eating, will be teaming up with Sandy Brown, Co-owner of Swanton Berry Farm, to discuss these inner workings. Topics will focus primarily on labor, politics, and privilege as it pertains to eating in America.

San Franciscans are typically well aware of the food they eat and from whence it comes, but this discussion will without a doubt be interesting and potentially eye opening. For more information read this.

Ultimately, this a FREE event with RSVP. Come check it out!
