Win a copy of the Humphry Slocombe Ice Cream Book from Chronicle Books

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

I’m teaming up with the fine people of Chronicle Books to do some cool giveaways. As you can probably guess by the picture above and the title that says “Win a copy of the Humphry Slocombe Ice Cream Book”, the first giveway we’re doing is the Humphry Slocombe Ice Cream Book. If you didn’t guess that, well…hmm, how do I put this without hurting your feelings…please don’t procreate. Anyways, here’s the book blurb that I’m copying directly from the website:

With more than 300,000 Twitter followers, a heaping helping of controversy, and a rich supply of attitude and humor, Humphry Slocombe is not your average ice cream shop. Yet the ice cream is what matters, and they make it in dozens of glorious, unique, and delightful flavors. This tasty book collects 50 recipes for these idolized and iconoclastic flavors, as well as surprising sundae combinations and popular toppings such as marshmallow and crumbled curry cookie. More than 50 color photographs, dozens of graphics and drawings, and first-person essays and scenes from the shop present a delicious foray into this scoop of San Francisco’s incredible food scene.

Maybe it should be called “How to Give a Subtle ‘Fuck You’ to Your Dentist”. Regardless, would you like to win this book? Then email us with “Humphry Slocombe” in the title. The winner will be randomly chosen. All entrants will be added to the email list.
