DNA Lounge Hosts More Masked Madness With Apothecary Raree
DNA Lounge has returned to doing live shows, but they’re livestreams from the DNA stage with no in-person audience, performers in masks, and everyone the obligatory six feet apart from one another. You may have caught their webcasts of Hubba Hubba Revue, Monday night’s weekly Death Guild, and the synthwave dance party Turbo Drive. But there’s another recurring showe in that mix too, as the electroswing burlesque variety show Apothecary Raree that has another installment this Friday, December 4 from 8-10 p.m.
This one’s hosted by Alotta Boutté and Sgt. Die Weis, in the every-first-Friday affair that they describe as “San Francisco’s Electroswing and Neovintage Cabaret and Dance Party.” Each lineup also features “go-go dancers and a cabaret featuring the best in burlesque and variety entertainment that the Bay Area and beyond has to offer, all streamed to you live from the virtual heart of DNA Lounge’s webcast!”
This Friday’s bill also includes visiting Vegas dancer Elyse Elaine, “ballerinx gone bad” Jain Dowe, aerialist Madamn Burnz, drag star Mocha Fapalatte, Vau de Vire Society sword dancer Shannon Gaines, and total clown Snatch Adams.
The webcast is free to watch at DNALounge.com, but donations will be accepted to support the artists and DNA Lounge. And heck, why not order up some DNA Pizza and a mason jar of booze with which to wash it down.
Apothecary Raree is Friday, December 4, 7:30-9:30 at DNALounge.com
