Support the preservation of the cherished LOVE Block sculpture in Golden Gate Park by acquiring an engraving to be embedded directly into the blocks! Perfect expression of your love for San Francisco this Valentine’s Day. The iconic LOVE Blocks of Golden Gate Park that we’ve all known and loved is raising money for necessary repairs so that they can continue to bring us all joy for years to come. The artists behind the sculpture, Misfit Toys Art Crew, created a fundraiser where, for $50, you can add a little love note on the blocks themselves.

The artists told us: “For $50 our crew will print, “YOUR NAME ❤️ YOUR LOVE’S NAME” inside the support beams of the LOVE Blocks. This donation will literally reinforce the LOVE blocks and keep them strong. These have been an endless source of delight to locals and visitors who can come play on and around them, photograph them, and be inspired by their sentiment. After two years in Golden Gate Park, they are in need of a little love themselves….and you can help us do that while celebrating the person who deserves your heart most of all.”

Sharma, one of the artists for the project asked all of us to support them in their quest to raise money for necessary repairs, “These blocks were originally invited to be placed in the park for a few months and we never realized how much they would become a part of the landscape there. Alas, they desperately need repair and we’re hoping (no, begging) to get the word out to San Franciscans to help us fundraise.”

These blocks have received no money from the parks department or the organizers of The Green Mile. They rely on our donations to help them save and repair this adorable LOVEly piece of art we all enjoy.
