Trump Is Coming to the Bay in September. What Could Possibly Go Wrong?
According to reports from several outlets Wednesday, the one, the only — thank God — Donald J. Trump is planning to make a fundraising pit stop in the Bay Area Sept. 17.
The campaign hasn’t yet announced the exact location where he’ll be happy to rid people of anywhere from $1,000 per head and up to $100,000 per couple for a ticket to dine and get a photo op with “your favorite President.”
The Victory for Trump website serves as the invitation, which consists of a homepage with only two options. Would you like the $2,800 silver seating or the $5,600 gold seating? Without logging in, those are literally the only choices you have to move forward through the rest of the site, where I’m sure people have the opportunity to spend even more money if they’d like.
Now, I know some of you out there are counting your change in anticipation but it’s fair to say that the majority Bay Area residents won’t be too thrilled with the man’s presence. It’s not like there’s much love lost between our “enemy” sanctuary cities and the current administration. Trump netted less than 10 percent of the vote in San Francisco County during the 2016 election and it’s not as if the relationship has strengthened during his time in office.
As a reminder, Trump thinks San Francisco is filth and Oakland is the enemy.
We are cleaning the streets – just like @SpeakerPelosi is cleaning up after the mess that is your presidency. https://t.co/eH6Hfvor7Z

Still…here he comes, because ruining the country isn’t enough — he’s got to wreck the dog days of summer specifically in the Bay Area before he makes his way down the coast to empty more pockets in Southern California.
This is the first time Trump will step foot here as the president and to be sure, he’s likely to get one hell of a reception…of one sort or another.
