Covered California Sign-Up Extended Til End Of The Year, And It’s Incredibly Cheap
In February, we reported that the Covered California open enrollment period was extended until May 15. But now you have all year to sign up, as KPBS reports that Biden’s American Rescue Plan “means that Californians have until the end of the year to sign up for health coverage.”
Attention, California. New federal funding of $3 Billion is available to help more people pay for health insurance — no matter what your income. The sooner you sign up the more you save. pic.twitter.com/VHdjjZzQjI

And if you sign up for Covered California this week, you can have full health insurance in effect this Saturday, May 1.

“The potential for savings is so great that many could even get a brand name health plan from health insurance companies like Kaiser, Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield for as low as $1 per month,” Covered Caliufornia says in a press release.
Health insurance is way cheaper now thanks to the Biden subsidies, and plenty of people are reporting paying $200 a month less for their health insurance than before. Investopedia reports that “92% of people who buy their own health insurance will qualify for a subsidy,” so you will almost certainly be eligible for much cheaper health insurance.
You can enroll for health insurance at CoveredCA.com. Your coverage will begin on the first day of the month after you’ve completed your enrollment.
