World Cup Deals at Pisco and FREE Pizza at Palio D’Asti

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

So here’s the thing.  See that picture at the top?  That’s me driving a tractor.  I’m currently at my girlfriend’s family’s farm in upstate NY and I’m pretty much trying to be as unplugged as possible.  It’s really a lovely feeling and totally needed.  I’ve even had a garbage plate already!

So since I’m trying to spend as little time on the computador as possible, but I still have my duty to you dear reader, I’m just gonna paste the info from these press releases straight into this post.  Got a problem with that?  Tough shit:

World Cup Specials

What better way to watch World Cup this weekend and next than with $3 beers and South American bartenders and regulars who really know their soccer? This Saturday’s games start at 7am so set your alarm (or don’t bother going to sleep at all). Final round and Grand final July 10 & 11th at 11:30am. Piqueos and tapas including cheese and Spanish chaucuterie plates start at $3.50. Special 'œteam' cocktails $5.

Free Pizza Happy Hour & $1 Dinner Martinis

So you’re tired of the same, cheap beer watering holes. Put on a clean shirt and head downtown to the very classy Palio D’Asti on Sacramento off Kearny for a free pizza when you buy any 2 drinks between 4-7pm. Palio was just voted in the Top 3 for Best Italian on sfgate.com and given that you can get creative cocktails for only $7 we’re talking $14 total per person decidedly better quality surroundings than you’re probably used to. But get there early- free pizza is only while supplies last and they have been known to run out by 6:30.

Or spurge a little on dinner. Palio throws in a Martini or Manhattan for only $1 when you order any 3 courses at dinner. Considering you can get anything on the menu ( including steak) and 3 courses are a flat $37 it may not be totally cheap but it’s definitely a deal- especially if you’re looking to impress someone.
