Wow. I can’t believe Blue Plate has been around for 15 years! 15 years ago was 1999 dude! I was still in high school, which means around this time 15 years ago I was in the process of preparing not to get laid at prom!

Anyways, as we all know, the restaurant business is a fickle beast, so being around for 15 years is a pretty stellar feat. To celebrate, Blue Plate is doing something pretty rad. On Thursday, Friday and Saturday (5/1 – 5/3) they will be pouring wines from heavy-hitters and cult leaders like Steve & Chrystal CliftonSean Thackery and John Lancaster, 5 wines from each for $15 total!!

Also, there is no fixed price nonsense so you can order a snack paired with the wine or not. And if wine is just not your thing, well, they are still serving Olympia beer in a can for a buck, just like they did back in 1999 (actually, they used to give you the Oly for free if you shotgunned it…but they’ve grown up a bit since then).

About Blue Plate:  Blue Plate offers New American cuisine and evolved comfort food in a classic San Francisco Victorian with warm and friendly service. The backyard is a secret night-fragrant garden with niche dining spaces for those in the know. Founded in May 1999, Co-Owners Cory Obenour and Jeff Trenam combined their interests in organic farms and unique wines to anchor the neighborhood’s upscale dining scene. At the time, farm-to-table and organic products were not yet hallmarks of the American restaurant lexicon, and certainly not expected of comfort food. Blue Plate is open seven days/week Monday – Thursday 5:30 PM to 10 PM. Friday and Saturday 5:30 PM -10:30 PM. Sunday 5:30 PM -9:30 PM. Blue Plate offers private party buyouts and is launching off-site catering in Spring of 2014. Menu and more information available online at blueplatesf.com.
Blue Plate is active on social media including, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
