DIY Test Tube Spice Rack
Listen, I’m not just a broke-ass because I have no money. I’m a broke-ass on principle. For example, this is rad:
I want it. I don’t even cook, and I want it. It’s also $165.
I refuse to pay money (especially three figures) for something I can just do myself (for $30). It just seems dumb to toss away cash that I bust my ass for, but hey, intelligence and frugality aren’t for everyone. Guess we lucked out, huh?
Test tubes '“ and racks '“ are easy enough to find online. Amazon’s got '˜em, and there are craft supply stores, teacher supply stores, science/lab stores, and bar supply stores to search through. Just be patient until you find your deal '“ part of the trade off with doing it yourself is it’s going to take more time than entering in your credit cards numbers. Once you’ve found your set, just fill '˜em up and slap some kind of label on them. (Also, keep in mind a lot of test tubes come without caps, so either shell out a bit extra or plan on cutting some cork to fit).
On the very random chance that a test tube spice rack doesn’t float your boat (which, frankly, I find hard to believe), there’s the magnetic spice rack which means you’re going to need to a) cut a piece of sheet metal and b) glue some magnets to some spice containers. Now you’ve got a Christmas gift for Grandma.
