The 4-story historic Dempster building at 447 Minna has been redone and repurposed, revitalized from its heyday as a Hearst-era print shop, the charming brick facades and the “LETS GO GIANTS” block letters remain, but the interior of the building is reborn as an affordable, state-of-the-art facility for working artists to paint, play, perform, and exhibit in.
SF Art Orgs & Mayor Breed Ask Congress for Aid to the Arts

Renegade to Support Arts & Homeless in San Francisco
Hotel taxes in San Francisco were created to fund the arts, but they’ve been stripped away over the last decade. The San Francisco Arts and Families Funding Ordinance just launched a campaign for a new ballot measure that would take those funds back for arts and homelessness initiatives. But first we need 9.5k signatures to get on the ballot in November!
