FREE Fashion Inspired by Art
Fashion and art tend to hold hands, but two fashion designers took the friendship one step further to create Fashion Inspired by Art at the CHC Gallery. The collection is several couture and ready-to-wear pieces based on the paintings at the gallery. The current Marks exhibit is paintings with a lot of layering of textures, which should lend itself well to sculptured clothes. This is a gallery collection for anyone who mimics statue poses in photos.

FREE Lecture about politics and fashion
As the Washington Post’s fashion editor, Robin Givhan is known for calling politicians on their fashion faux pas. She started the widespread terror over then-presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s awkward V-neck top, criticized Michelle Obama for wearing shorts on vacation, and lambasted Dick Chaney for wearing a giant green coat to a ceremony celebrating the liberation of Auschwitz. Tomorrow night, she’s giving a FREE lecture about how politics and fashion intertwine at the Museum at FIT. Whether or not you agree with Robin’s opinions of style, you have to admit that she’s a badass for being the only fashion writer to win a Pulitzer Prize.
