General Tips to Make Your Survival More Likely

All I want to do is see you have an awesome life.  That’s why I’m dropping this knowledge on you.  No need to thank me, just make sure to tell your friends to peep this site.  Also, I know that I shared some of this in the books, but not all of you have them, even though as your spiritual advisor I highly recommend you buy them.  Anyways, read and enjoy.

Spirit Airlines: If you’ve done some traveling in Europe, you know that they have crazy cheap airlines like Ryan Air and Easy Jet, on which you can get flights for like 5 Euro plus taxes.  In the States we’re not as lucky, unless of course you live in a city that Spirit Air flies to.  If you do, Spirit Air might become your new best friend.  Go to www.spiritair.com and sign up for their email list. You can choose up to five airports to receive deal notifications from, and they will send you deals every week.  You can get flights to beautiful places like Peru, Costa Rica, Jamaica, the Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico and even Detroit, for like $50 round trip (including taxes).  I’m not even fucking with you.  Can I get an Amen?

Library Card: I know this sounds silly, but people always forget how awesome libraries are.  Not only can you borrow millions of great books, but you can also borrow CDs, DVDs and other media too.  Hell, you can just borrow a CD you like and rip it straight to your itunes, giving you free music.* Plus library cards are free themselves.

*Legal Note:  Broke-Ass Stuart in no way endorses music piracy.  He is simply speaking hypothetically.**

**Broke-Ass Stuart’s note:  Don’t listen to them, I totally endorse all forms of piracy as long as no one get hurt or killed. There’s nothing wrong with stealing from the rich.  They probably had to do something to crooked to get where they are.

Google on Any Phone: If you don’t have a fancy pants phone (Blackberry, iphone etc.) this will be the coolest thing you read all day  Let’s say you’re out for the night and heading to meet up with some friends at The Levee in Williamsburg, but you don’t remember where it is.  Just whip out your telephono and begin sending a text message. Where it asks for the number type in googl (466-45) and in the body of the text, enter the name of the establishment you’re looking for like this: The Levee Brooklyn NY.  Then press send.  Within seconds, google will text you back with the address and phone number.  And the best part is, it costs the same as a regular text.  Sweet huh?

Apple Discount: I made the switch to Mac a couple years ago, and I’ve gotta tell you, I’m never going back. My Mac is SO much better than any PC I’ve ever had. If you’re ever considering buying a making the switch, go talk to someone in the store to figure out exactly what you want, and then buy it online. If you do that, you can say that you can get the student discount by just clicking a box that says you’re a student. They never verify this. This student discount gives you like 10-15% off. Not bad right? I’m not sure if you can do the same with other Apple products, because I haven’t tried, but I don’t see why you wouldn’t be able to.

Food Court Discount: If you’re in a food court, tell the cashier that you work in the mall. There is almost always a discount for people who work in the shopping center. This is true for most of the food courts I’ve ever been in.

    Re: Texting Google
If, like me, you have more minutes than you need but pay $.15 to send and receive each text message, you can call 1-800-goog-411 and do the same thing via voice recognition for free.

  2. That’s fucking rad! Thanks for the tip Shawozzle…if that’s your real name :)
