PHAT MAN DEE
Some call her the 'œPeggy Lee of Punk.' Others refer to her as 'œa cosmic jazz chanteuse.' Whatever your preference, Phat Man Dee is an eclectic, comedic burlesque inspired jazz diva. With her soulful voice and her heart-ripping way of sharing stories in song, she is a lady with a weird, clear vision. A native of Philly, Phat Man Dee will be gracing New York with her presence tonight.
Acompanied by pianist Kenny Peagler. Phat Man Dee’s most recent project was How to Survive the Apocalypse, a Burning Opera, which sold out a month long run at San Francisco’s Teatro Zinzanni. She’s also appeared with Foxy Moxy’s Cabaret Risque, the Boiler Bar Stage at the Maker’s Faire, The Neverwas Haul Exposition Stage in the Black Rock Desert, the lovely LA River, The Madagascar Institute of Brooklyn, NY, Candye Kane, the Goddess Perlman’s Nice Jewish Girls Gone Bad, the Fat Bottomed Girls Burlesque Review, Chicken John’s Circus Ridiculous, Wolgemut, Jazz Mandolin Project, the Bindlestiff Family Roadshow, The Bull Seal!
