Egg cartons, much like print, socks and cereal boxes, are DIY-gold because they can be almost endlessly repurposed. Not only are they aces for holding and organizing any tiny bits you have (jewlrey, beads, bolts and nuts) into an impromptu, and portable, case but they’re green so they can also be used for seedlings and planting stuff.

Egg cartons can also be quickly turned into a sewing kit or jewelry box, or a quick message board (which you can always paint).

Personally, I like these fairy lights the best '“ especially because all they require is some quality time with a pair of scissors. Fairy lights are going to require LED lights (other lights will get too hot and become a fire hazard) but other than that, all you’ll need to do is cut away the excess cardboard surrounding the cups, separate each cup and then trim the edges to form petals.
