The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

“Twain in the Membrane: A Comedy Party” celebrates the release of cartoonist Michael Kupperman’s Mark Twain autobiography parody, Mark Twain’s Autobiography 1910-2010.  If you’re still thinking “wha?,” just take a look at the night’s lineup and go with the flow; you’ll be treated to appearances and comedic works by Kupperman himself, Jon Glaser, Adult Swim and Conan alum; Kate Beaton, creator of the webcomic’ “Hark! A Vagrant!”; and Max Silvestri, of video series “Gabe & Max.”

The agenda for the night is just as eclectic as the featured guests list – you can expect live cartoons, skits, a Mark Twain costume contest with a FREE book prize, and a frog-humping contest, the prize for which has not be named, but it surely cannot be your dignity.

“Twain in the Membrane: A Comedy Party” starts at 8PM at Gowanus performance and art space, Littlefield. Tickets are available for $5 (plus a $1.50 service fee) in advance or $8 at the door.
