What do you when millions of Americans still won’t get vaccinated?  In New Orleans they’re enticing people with 1lb of free Crawfish,  “Get your first dose of Moderna or your one time J&J shot and get a free pound of crawfish!”

In Washington DC, Chef José Andrés is offering a $50 gift certificate to anyone who gets a vaccine on May 8 or later for any of the restaurants in his Washington, D.C.-area.   In West Virginia Republican Gov. Jim Justice’s office unveiled a $100 savings bond program for young people ages 16 to 35 who get a vaccine. Maryland is also incentivizing vaccinations with $100 payments to state employees who elect to get a coronavirus vaccine.

In Michigan, Detroit residents are eligible for a $50 prepaid card through the Good Neighbor program when they help get a neighbor vaccinated by scheduling and driving them to their first appointment.

In New Jersey’s “Shot and Beer” program, you get a free beer from participating breweries to those of age who get their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine during the month of May.  And in Illinois, legislation is in the works that would allow bars and restaurants to give vaccinated customers a free drink.

In Ohio, Republican Gov. Mike DeWine offered an even bigger cash incentive: a chance at winning a $1 million prize to five randomly chosen vaccine getters.  And expect more and more incentives programs to come out in the coming months.

More than one-third of Americans are fully vaccinated against the coronavirus, but according to Kaiser Family Foundation polling, “enthusiasm may be reaching a plateau,”

We need at least 70% of the population to get to her immunity.  And what is more American than enticing people to action by giving away free shit?  So sign up to get your free vaccine today!
