OH GAWD, Brian. 1900s-era animated series Family Guy returns for yet another season this Sunday night, so in hopes of some free good publicity, Seth MacFarlane and the show’s creators did a three-minute, forty-second public service announcement encouraging people to get the COVID-19 vaccine. It’s pretty funny (for Family Guy) and can be seen below.

But MAGA Nation, anti-vaxxers, and Joe Rogan Experiencers are pretty stewed over the whole thing.

Some worry this represents the cognitive decline of a cartoon baby who has remained in perpetual infancy for 22 years.

Others are concerned that this might undermine more responsible public health messaging about Ivermectin, hyrdochloroquine, and injecting yourself with bleach.

There are also worries that this fictional cartoon might draw attention away from a fictional cartoon death count.

And what will become of “the Family Guy way” that is so critical to the fabric of our nation?

And some people rightfully called out the lack of attention to proper public safety protocols.
