Bay Area Home Depot Bandit Caught with $14k of Power Tools
Retail theft and burglaries always go up around Christmas time, but this year feels especially brazen. With organized heists being reported on across around the Bay Area, the most recent involved theft from 6 different Home Depots in the Bay Area.
Redwood City police released the following info today about the arrest: A 24-year-old man has been arrested after investigators found more than 80 items worth at least $14,000 that had been stolen from Home Depot stores around the Bay Area,
The stolen merchandise was taken from Home Depot outlets in San Carlos, San Mateo, Colma, Pittsburg, Brentwood and San Jose. Eric Crossman (24) was booked into the San Mateo County Jail for commercial burglary, possession of stolen property, resisting arrest, and possession of a controlled substance.

Detectives learned last Friday of possible organized retail theft involving Eric Crossman and did a probation search at his home that resulted in the discovery of many high-end power tools and electronics.
