The Broke-Ass modus operandi is usually to take peoples’ unwanted stuff. We’re the ones inclined to pull couches off the sidewalk, dumpster-dive, and accept any and all kinds of FREE hand-me-downs. But in this day and age, when even the last vestiges of analogue are going digital, even the brokest of the broke-asses have some obsolete forms of electronics lying around gathering dust. In a few days it will be 2010, and the first week of January is a time for New Year’s resolutions and a healthy dose of purging (spring ain’t the only time for cleaning). So clear out your closets and bring your outdated TVs and electronics to Rainbow Grocery on January 3rd. E-Cycle Environmental, one of the Bay Area’s few green-certified electronics recycling companies, will have a truck parked in the alley next to Rainbow’s lot, just waiting for you to get rid of your electronics in an environmentally responsible way.
