FREE Ryan Lee Crosby Show at Sidewalk Cafe on Saturday

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

There are enough terrible, “I wish I didn’t have ears” wish-causing covers to make me want to swear them off forever (*Cough* Passion Pit’s “Tonight, Tonight” *Cough*). Fortunately, Ryan Lee Crosby is doing his part to make the gesture credible once more. Every day in February, the Boston-based folk troubadour is releasing an earnest cover into the world for your sentimental consumption right HERE (or, “heeyah” if you are in Boston).

This Saturday, he will join a slew of talent, including Mr. Sister (friends of Ryan doing their own covers project), at East Village spot Sidewalk Cafe to perform these gems and more. The show is free with a two-drink minimum, but the latter will be easy thanks to quality music worth sticking around for from 7:30PM until after midnight. Crosby will be on at 11PM but a wise one would get there early for a top spot in the Cafe’s intimate room.
