Flaunt Your ‘Stache at The Bearded Gentleman Book Release Party on Saturday!
I’m pretty excited to be hyping this event because it combines several of my favorite things in life: facial hair, books, FREE stuff, and hot guys. Well, I don’t really know about the last one, but I feel like if I talk about it like it’s true, it will be. Because that makes a lot of sense.
Anyway, Allan Peterkin and Nick Burns have written this glorious book called The Bearded Gentleman: The Style Guide to Shaving Face (which is getting rave reviews, btw, from some pretty notable sources, including Nylon, Out and The New York Times), a paean to all things beard-y and mustache-y. In addition to being super snarky and witty, it’s also sort of a guide how NOT to look stupid with facial hair. For instance, did you know that the Fu Manchu probably isn’t the most flattering ‘stache if you have a really chubby face like mine? Neither did I. UNTIL THIS BOOK.
Come mingle and celebrate amongst the bearded elite at the book’s release party at Powerhouse this Saturday! Not only is there a best beard and mustache contest, which should be awesome in and of itself, but there will also be chances to win FREE services from Joe’s Barbershop, beard trimmers, and cold, hard cash. And, if you’re very, very lucky, perhaps a FREE mustache ride.
