Saturday: Celebrate the Mission at Party on Block 18
In case you’ve been living in the Penguin exhibit at the California Academy of Sciences, you might not have noticed that San Francisco’s finally starting to come around to summer weather. Which means all those street festivals that seemed to be scheduled late in the season actually start to make sense. This weeks addition to the eat-food-while-standing-up festival circuit is a celebration of the Inner Mission (which, I know, you like never hear about the Mission anymore).
Focusing on 18th Street between Dolores and Guerrero, Party on Block 18 will be bringing some of your favorite Mission restaurants out into the street so you can enjoy things like Out the Door spring rolls, Indian Tacos from Kasa, and fancy pizza from Delfina out in the open without all the hassle of waiting for a table. Admission is FREE and the SF Brewers Guild will be there so you know the beer selection is going to be better than buying from the Cold Beer, Cold Water guy in Dolores Park. Of course, proceeds go to benefit The Women’s Building, BuenDia Family School, 826 Valencia, Next Course and Pie Ranch.
