Not “cheap” but “handmade with love”.

Around here we love some $1 beers. We also love Etsy because it’s proof that enterprising young DIY-ers like us can make an honest living off of handmade Owl puppets made from vintage felt samples or whatever. But on Valentine’s day it’s not about us, it’s about showing your love for that special somebody by spending money on them (which you don’t have).

Which is why we love that the Museum of Craft and Folk Art (we have one of those?) and Etsy have teamed up for the month of February to create a FREE Craft Bar. The $1 Trumer Pils deal is only for tonight’s opening reception and celebration for Sister Corita – a legendary pop artist. Letterpress supplies from SF Center for the Book and stationary donated by Hello Lucky will let you make your own impossibly twee Valentine’s cards.

FREE Craft Bar and $1 Trumer Pils
6-8pm, Thursday February 3rd
The Museum of Craft and Folk Art
51 Yerba Buena Lane [SoMa]
San Francisco, Ca 94103

Andrew Dalton - Aggressive Panhandler

Andrew is an East Coast transplant from Virginia hamming it up in San Francisco without any intention of leaving. Having worked every typical job from Bike Shop Employee to Bartender to Ad Agency Hotshot, to Dotcom Layoff he now busts his ass covering the "weird things to do" beat for gracious local audiences at SFAppeal.com and rallies the Western Addy/Lower Haight/Panhandle neighborhoods into action at AggressivePanhandler.com. His work was published in a real, paper magazine one time. One day he might even figure out how to make money from it.
