The rad folks over at UpOut are throwing a show at the DNA Lounge on Friday 2/22 with The Limousines, Doe Eye and Aaron Axelson. They gave me 5 pairs of tickets to giveaway, so that’s exactly what I’m doing. Below is the entry form and below that a bit about each band. The Limousines is a San Francsico based indie electronic duo, Giovanni Giusti and Eric Victorino. The band quickly gained international praise with the release of their singles “Internet Killed the Video Star” and “Very Busy People.” In 2010 they released their first album, Get Sharp, to critical acclaim. Since, the duo have gone on to tour internationally. Recently, the band used Kickstarter to successfully fund their sophomore album, Hush, which is to be released in early 2013.
DOE EYE
Maryam Qudus is a musician from San Francisco, CA, better known by the monicker DOE EYE. Her music has been featured on Billboard Magazine, Hype Machine, FUSE TV, Alternative Press, the San Francisco Chronicle and more. She has released two debut EP’s, ‘Run Run Run’ (2011) and ‘Hotel Fire’ (2012), which was produced by John Vanderslice (Nada Surf, Spoon, MK Ultra).
AARON AXELSEN
Born and raised in the East Bay with a passion for music, Aaron Axelsen is a Live 105’s music director and hosts radio shows Soundcheck & Subsonic. He DJs with Popscene SF and Leisure parties.
