Talking Back: Voices of Color

SAT. 7/18 | 1PM @ Modern Times Bookstore Collective

A dynamic new anthology featuring voices of youth, feminists, political prisoners, immigrants, and history makers. Talking Back: Voices of Color (Red Letter Press, 2015), presents an unusually diverse group of writers speaking out on issues affecting communities of color. Contributors share tales of survival, explore little-known history, and offer insightful cultural reviews.

2015 Graffiti Arts Festival

SAT. 7/18 | 12pm @ Precita Park

The Urban Youth Arts Festival is in its 19th year of bringing out the walls, recycled from year to year. In addition to the live painting, there’s typically a lineup of live music and drumming, a kids art station and a BBQ potluck.

This Sunday market provides farm-fresh fare, artisanal goods & street eats in a laid-back atmosphere.

An Evening Stroll In Central Park
