VolxKuche or Free-Cafe SF is a free supper club held on the second and fourth Fridays of the month with dinner served starting at 6 pm. The food will be vegan when possible, and always vegetarian. They often host live entertainment. Come to enjoy supper or volunteer by performing, showing a video/film, cooking, serving, or helping clean. All are encouraged to be involved. No monetary donations are accepted.

Brave New Jokes: Comedy Showcase

Brave New Jokes is a premier comedy showcase hosted by Michael Brandon (SJ Improv) and Nicole Calasich (SF Punchline) at the Mission’s favorite local bookstore: Adobe Books. Every last Saturday of the month, they feature a diverse range of comedians from Bay Area headliners to comedians from Comedy Central, E! and other major networks. Oh did we mention it’s free? Cause it is, baby.BYOBurrito.

Union Square Live: Manring, Kassin, & Burr

Separately, Michael Manring, Larry Kassin, and John R. Burr have extensive, multi-faceted careers as musicians. Together they play provocative, complex compositions – music that tears down stylistic walls and refuses to be compartmentalized – echoes of jazz, rock, folk, avant-garde, and world music – something completely new: extemporaneous-jazz-chamber-fusion-music for the new century.

World Naked Bike Ride 2015: Part II

This is the big one… well, the second big one. Hell, just call it the 4th Annual World Naked Bike Ride (WNBR)– San Francisco 2015 Northern Hemisphere Ride – Part II. The WNBR draws attention to the environment and the need to protect our natural resources.

The Treasure Island Flea is a monthly open-air flea market showcasing hundreds of local vendors ranging from indie designers, up-cyclers, collectors, handmakers, makers, bakers, and more plus outdoor exhibits, scavenger hunts, and gourmet food trucks.
