Baking Muffins For the Homeless in SF

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

January 31st is National Muffin Day, a day to get together with friends and give to the hungry.

HOW NATIONAL MUFFIN DAY WORKS
1-Bake muffins for homeless people.
2-Post on social media with #givemuffins.
3-Deliver to the hungry in your city.

Jacob ‘The Muffin Man’ Event organizer:

“National Muffin Day is coming up on January 31st. On this day, I try to get as many people as possible around the world to bake muffins and give them to homeless folks.  For every person who does that and posts a picture of the muffins on Instagram or Twitter with the hashtag #givemuffins, I donate $10 to Project Homeless Connect, and my law firm matches.  Last year we had 77 bakers and raised over $1400.  This year we’re hoping for 150 bakers.”

Their are several baking parties going on around the city on National Muffin Day and perhaps you could host or join one too!
